Fair Isle Community Donate

As part of a general tidy up on Fair Isle Bob Worrall coordinated volunteers Fiona Mitchell, Rachel Challoner, Johnnie Downie and Thomas Fisher and collected old car and inverter batteries, which were then sold for scrap. The batteries generated £215. The Island has voted to donate this money to the MRI Scanner Appeal and the Fair Isle Community have voted to match this amount from Committee funds resulting in a total donation of £430.  Bob hopes that this will be an ongoing initiative which will benefit the MRI Scanner Appeal financially and the island environmentally.
