Thank-you so much to Zander Simpson, his daughter Rona, and the team at Shetland Maritime Ltd for their donation of £2000!! Rona came by NHS headquarters at Montfield this week to meet some of the team and do the “official” hand-over. Here she hands the cheque to MRI fundraising manager Derek Hart. Zander wrote in a note to Derek that he had been inspired to make the donation after seeing the generosity of the Whalsay pelagic fishermen who donated £100,000 earlier this year. Rona said an MRI Scanner would make an enormous difference to people in Shetland. “Even a small donation helps us to get closer to the goal,” she said.
