White Hoose Buffet Generates Funds

For the Shetland Islands Council staff working in the “White Hoose” (8 North Ness) a Christmas buffet and raffle was a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other and raise money for the MRI Scanner.

This week SIC accounting officer, Kay Foster, who with Melissa Mullay and Keith Adam organised the event, brought in four MRI Scanner collection boxes which, when they were cashed up, came to £728.73

It was a wonderful event with many people bringing a plate of eats and, those who didn’t, making a donation to the raffle and Appeal,” said Kay.

Everyone agreed a highlight on the buffet was fireman and ambulance man Jim MacLeod’s massive 70’s “hedgehog”.

Kay thanked all those who helped with preparation and the food and Leisel Malcolmson who sold the raffles (as well as doing some baking).

The food and raffles were all donated by staff and lots of people helped clean up afterwards too!” Kay said.

From the MRI Scanner Appeal team we say “Thank-you, and have a wonderful Christmas!"
