Six-year-old Chloe suffers from Klippel Feil Syndrome (KFS) – a rare congenital , musculoskeletal condition. For one so young, she has already been to Aberdeen and Edinburgh for two MRI scans, in addition to a CT scan in Lerwick. As a result, the family is acutely aware of the potential benefits of having an MRI scanner located in Shetland.

In lieu of gifts, the friends, who hail from Send on the West Side, and who met as children when their families were neighbours, asked for donations for the Scanner Appeal.
